Onion Bacon Barbecue Sauce
An awesome sauce that combines sweet onion and savoury bacon, this sauce is great on pork or chicken.

Method
- Cook bacon to desired level of doneness on griddle or skillet.
- Remove bacon and cook onion in bacon grease at medium heat until translucent. Remove onion and cook garlic for roughly one minute (basically until you can smell garlic).
- In medium sauce pan on medium heat, combine ketchup, molasses, vinegar, Worcestershire sauce, and mustard. Stir to combine.
- When sauce is simmering, add crumbled bacon, onion, and garlic. Simmer for another two minutes and then remove from heat.
Notes
- I prefer the bacon to have a bit of chew, as I don’t necessarily want my barbecue sauce to be crunchy. This is a matter of personal preference.
- I prefer sweet onions in this sauce because they pair so well with the other ingredients. Feel free to spice it up if you’d prefer.
