No Bake Peanut Butter Pie

An awesome dessert for the hot days of summer, this pie is quick to assemble thanks to the use of an off-the-shelf ready-made pie crust. A couple of quick hours in the refrigerator and you'll have a delicious, light and airy dessert!
Prep Time 10 minutes
Refrigerator 2 hours
Total Time 2 hours 10 minutes
Servings: 8
Course: Dessert
Cuisine: American

Ingredients

  • 2 8 oz tubs whipped topping
  • 1 8 oz package cream cheese softened
  • 2/3 cup peanut butter creamy
  • 1/2 cup powdered sugar
  • 1 10 in graham cracker crust
  • 10 pieces chocolate peanut butter cups option, to crumble on top of pie

Equipment

  • 1 Mixing bowl large
  • 1 spatula
  • 1 electric beater

Method

  1. Add one tub of whipped cream, cream cheese, peanut butter, and powdered sugar to mixing bowl. Using mixer, mix until thoroughly combined.
  2. Add second tub of whipped cream, folding it in with the spatula. It will take about 40 turns or so.
  3. Fill pre-made pie crust with the mixture, smoothing out on top until evenly distributed.
  4. Cover and refrigerate for two hours.

Notes

  • You can crumble the peanut butter cups onto the pie before or after refrigeration.  I like them to melt a bit, so I like to put them on before serving.
  • This pie is also great frozen!
  • It’s vitally important to fold in the whipped cream in the second step.  This gives it an airy texture.  If you just use the mixer, it will be much firmer.
